Eileen Kelly Merritt

I worked at Nassau County Probation Department, as a Probation Alcohol Screener (PASS), immediately after graduating from John Jay College with a BA in Deviant Behavior and Social Control ( Magna Cum Laude).

I then worked as a United States Probation Officer in EDNY and attended graduate school at John Jay.  I earned a Masters in Criminal Justice with Honors, while working as a USPO.  I worked in each rank and ultimately spent my last decade of a 30 year career at US Probation as the Chief, running the agency for the US Courts. 
I was responsible for all aspects of the agency, under the US Courts. The agency includes Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau and Suffolk County.
i also taught a graduate course at John Jay while employed at US Probation in Police and Corrections. In addition to being a visiting adjunct at the FLETC academy and for the FJC. 

I retired in 2018 and began immediately after as a Visiting Professor at FSC, where I am now employed as a Lecturer.  I have been at FSC for eight years.
