Svetlana joined FSC in the Fall of 2016 as a faculty member in the Department of Mathematics. Her research is in scientific computing and numerical methods for fluid dynamics, with a focus on high-accuracy singular integration, domain decomposition methods, and fast summation algorithms. Her work has been supported by multiple National Science Foundation grants, which include funding for paid undergraduate research assistantships. Deeply committed to student growth and expanding opportunities in STEM, she was recognized with the 2025 Faculty Center Award for Outstanding Mentorship.
