Jing Betty Feng

Jing Betty Feng, Ph.D., is a Professor of International Business at Business Management Department. She earned her BA and MBA from Michigan State University and her Ph.D. from Georgia State University. Dr. Feng teaches international business related courses with an emphasis on technology, innovation, and sustainability. She entered academia after seven years in global supply chain management, holding roles at companies including Dell and Whirlpool.

Dr. Feng’s research explores the dynamics of global business through the lenses of intercultural interaction, sustainable internationalization, and the evolving relationship between technology and human behavior. Her work has appeared in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Research, the International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management, and Management and Organization Review. Her recent projects examine gender bias in AI‑mediated negotiation and AI literacy among college students. As a 2025–2026 SUNY AI for the Public Good Fellow, she contributes to initiatives that advance responsible and ethical AI literacy across disciplines.

Dr. Feng has also authored several white papers supporting international engagement for local businesses and contributing to economic development in the Long Island region. She has served on the leadership team for the Academy of International Business Teaching and Education Shared Interest Group and as an editorial board member for the Journal of Business Research and EIX – Entrepreneur & Innovation Exchange.


Beyond her research, Dr. Feng is passionate about student-centered learning and real‑world problem-solving. She has served as a faculty advisor for the New York State Business Plan Competition and the International Business Club, and she currently organizes the annual Innovation Challenge while mentoring students engaged in innovation and undergraduate research. Her commitment to experiential learning has been recognized through multiple awards and grants supporting public-interest and community-focused initiatives.
